WE’RE ALWAYS THERE

GCHQ

Since 2011, GCHQ have been running a surveillance program under the name Tempora. The transatlantic under-sea fibre-optic cables that carry internet traffic from the US to Europe terminate just outside of Bude, in north Cornwall.

GCHQ have a station near Bude, which intercepts titanic amounts of data from across the globe. This data is recorded, analysed and stored. This data harvest is indiscriminate, and its list of targets infinite.

GCHQ aren’t particularly vocal on this matter, so it felt only right to remind the public that this is happening.
